Personal testimony

We will always remember Claude as one of the most talented volunteers that we have met, totally dedicated to his work. His contribution to the vocational training colleges at VETA Mtwara and Lindi was first class. He motivated the kids in the college, helped them create real jobs and business opportunities, pushing to establish two local bakeries, and helping them achieve a much a higher standard - through City and Guilds accreditation.

While in the end Claude's life closed quickly, he had a very rich life, leading it to the full in a somewhat unconventional way. This possibly made it more difficult for the rest of his family, but hopefully they will come to understand the impact he has had on others around him, including the lovely wife, Gwladys. His presence will be remembered in Africa for many years.

We wish all his family well during this period of grief.
