Condolences space

It is only today that I have learned with great sorrow of the demise of Philippe Gysen. I wish to extend my deepest condolences to all of His family and friends in this truly difficult moment!

He was my true mentor and master in roman numismatics of the late 3rd century, in particular in the coinage of our favorite emperor Probus.

It is an honor to have known him and corresponded with him regularly in the last 3 years, during which time he was always ready to answer my numerous questions and taught me so much, that I will forever remain in His debt!
